As part of the Horizon 2020 program, a new program was launched in 2019 to assist small and medium-sized companies by financing innovative and ground-breaking research and development projects.
The EIC Accelerator Pilot offers the following:
- Business innovation grants for innovation development & demonstration purposes: an amount in the indicative range of €500K and €2,5M (70% of total cost of the project as a general rule).
- Equity of up to €15M per company (€100M total budget for equity in 2019-2020 pilot phase).
Horizon 2020 FTI - Fast Track to Innovation
This unique financing program was implemented as part of the European Union's goal of integrating more industry entities, especially small and medium-sized businesses, into the H2020 innovation framework. FTI allows for the formation of small consortiums of three to five participants for the first time, High potential for impact on European and global markets.
